Navelgazing are a BAFTA-nominated team of comedy writer/performers. Toyboize (Talkback-Thames) their mock-doc that followed the ill advised comeback of an 80s childband, was the first ever UK comedy series to make the jump from web to TV when it aired on DAVE in 2009. It has been seen over a million times on YouTube and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2009 for Interactive Creative Contribution. They are currenly making a sketch comedy series for BBC Online called Most Hits based on the success of two pilot webisodes. These were 4Tissimo: a pop opera band who only sing HipHop covers - creating the new genre of “HipHopera”; and The Ladies Guild: about a group of middle aged retirees who decide to go one step further than the Calendar Girls by making the world's first porn film for charity. Navelgazing are also currently writing their own sketch series for DAVE – the channel's first ever sketch commission.
They are currently writing on: Chris Moyles Quiz Show (Ch 4), Celebrity Juice (ITV2, 2 series), The Rob Brydon Show (BBC2), Big Man Small Hammer (BBC3), Jonny Sweet Hidden Camera Show (Sky).
Their previous writing credits include commissions with BBC Radio & TV, ITV, Channel 4 and the BBC Films short Uncle Douglas, which earned official selection at Toronto and Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festivals.
As performers they have appeared in numerous TV shows including The Office, Miranda, Peep Show, Little Britain, Pulling, Lead Balloon and The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson.
Navelgazing are Jack Brough, Jamie Deeks, Dan Johnston and Ewen MacIntosh.
